About this opportunity
The Swedish Arts Grants Committee's International Music Program operates a residency in Berlin, Germany for music artists working in electronic popular music with a focus on house and techno. The residency provides opportunities for artistic development and contacts within electronic popular music. The residency includes workspace, accommodation in the Kreuzberg district, a residency grant, and travel reimbursement. The residency was first announced in autumn 2020 and aims to support both artistic development and expanded work and income opportunities for grant recipients. The workspace is planned and financed by the recipient in collaboration with a local coordinator, while accommodation is paid for by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. The grant amount is larger than other international residencies due to this arrangement.
