About this opportunity
Konstnärsnämndens internationella program för bild- och formkonstnärer, IASPIS, offers a three-month residency program at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The residency provides Swedish visual artists and designers with a studio space of approximately 25 square meters and a furnished two-room apartment on Hudson Street, Manhattan. ISCP is New York's most comprehensive international residency program for visual arts, founded in 1994, hosting around 35 artists and curators simultaneously and over 120 studio scholarship holders per year. The residency includes an extensive program with critic visits, studio tours, open studios, and a series of artist talks and exhibitions. Recipients receive a stipend of 90,000 SEK to cover travel, living expenses, and certain material costs during the residency. The purpose of Konstnärsnämnden's international residencies is to support artists' opportunities to create, develop and deepen contacts abroad.
