About This Opportunity

The International Programme for Theatre announces an international residency in collaboration with Bastionen in Malmö, where Sweden-based theatre artists are given the opportunity to invite and collaborate with artists from abroad. The residency offers access to a rehearsal space at Bastionen during November 2025 and compensation for travel and accommodation for those invited from abroad, as well as a grant to the Sweden-based artist including accommodation costs if not residing in Malmö. Bastionen is centrally located in Malmö and serves as a hub for contemporary theatre and performing arts in the city. The residency is designed for 1-2 Sweden-based theatre artists working together who wish to collaborate with 1-2 international artists. It is aimed at professional theatre artists such as actors, directors, mimes, musical artists, performance artists, clowns, set designers, lighting designers, mask designers, costume designers, sound designers, puppeteers, or dramaturgs.
