Årets eldsjäl

Årets eldsjäl is an annual prize awarded by Ystad Municipality to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to cultural, sports, or recreational life in Ystad. The award aims to highlight and celebrate people with exceptional volunteer engagement. The recipient demonstrates volunteer commitment beyond the ordinary and is passionate about local community organizations. Through generosity and selflessness, the recipient creates opportunities for community and joy for others. The prize was previously limited to the cultural sector but has been expanded from 2025 to include sports and recreation. Employees of Ystad Municipality, municipal associations, or municipally owned companies cannot be nominated for work performed within their employment.
