Rewilding Innovation Fund

The Rewilding Innovation Fund is awarded by Rewilding Britain to foster the scale and ambition of rewilding projects, enabling large-scale restoration of ecosystems. The fund aims to remove barriers to rewilding across Britain, whether projects are in early planning stages or looking to try out new approaches. From business plans to feasibility studies, community engagement to trialling the latest technology, the fund supports work that could potentially unlock further funding or move projects up the rewilding scale. Rewilding Britain chooses projects that will have the highest impact on people and nature, on land and sea, with opportunities for shared learning with the Rewilding Network. Since 2021, the fund has awarded over £970,000 to 79 rewilding initiatives across Britain. Projects have two opportunities to apply each year, in the new year and summer, with applications currently open until February 28.
