About this opportunity
The Rhoda F. Blythe Philosophy Undergraduate Scholarship is an endowed award established by faculty members and friends of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Calgary in honor of Rhoda F. Blythe on the occasion of her retirement from the department in 1982. The scholarship is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in the Faculty of Arts who is majoring in Philosophy.
The award is made at the discretion of the Department Meeting in Council, with primary consideration being given to noteworthy philosophical aptitude and academic achievement. Should the scholarship not be awarded in a particular year, the award for the following year would normally be doubled, providing additional value for future recipients.
This scholarship recognizes and supports students who demonstrate exceptional ability and promise in the field of philosophy. The award is intended to encourage and reward academic excellence and philosophical thinking among undergraduate students pursuing philosophy studies at the University of Calgary.
