Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Trust provides more than 100 Rhodes Scholarships per year to graduate students from around the world to study at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. A variety of academic programs are supported including master's, doctoral, and second undergraduate degrees. The scholarship includes tuition, an annual stipend, a settling in allowance, and transportation to Oxford at the beginning and end of the study program. Rhodes Scholars are selected based on academic excellence, leadership qualities, and other factors as determined by the Rhodes Trust. Applicants must meet the minimum GPA for their chosen program at Oxford, with a greater chance of admission with a First Class Honours Degree or a minimum GPA of 3.7/4.0 (minimum 8.0 GPA on UVic's 9.0 scale). Students must also meet additional criteria for age and other factors as set out by the Rhodes Trust.
