About this opportunity
The Rhodes Scholarship is one of the oldest and most prestigious international scholarship programs in the world. First awarded to Canadian students in 1904, over a thousand Canadians have received this scholarship to study at the University of Oxford. Each year, eleven Scholarships are available for Canada through a partnership between the Rhodes Trust and the Second Century Founder John McCall MacBain O.C. The scholarships are administered through six regional committees across Canada, with awards distributed regionally: three scholarships to the Prairie Region (Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta), two scholarships each to Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime Region (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island), and one scholarship each to British Columbia and Newfoundland. The scholarship provides full funding for graduate study at Oxford University, supporting exceptional students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to service.
