About this opportunity
This bursary is awarded annually by the Riawunna Centre, which provides a welcoming space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to meet, study and access academic and pastoral support and assistance. The award is funded through the Federal Government's Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) and is available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students from the north-west of Tasmania who are commencing study at the University of Tasmania. Selection is based on demonstration of financial need. The bursary provides approximately $20,000 total support over 4 years. Recipients are required to engage with the Riawunna Centre, including participating in and attending Riawunna activities and events, and must provide a short written report at the end of each study period to the Centre's Head of Service. To retain this award, recipients must achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
