About this opportunity
This scholarship is offered by Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC), a private, family-owned construction company operating throughout NSW and the ACT since 1976. The scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing construction and civil engineering studies at the University of Newcastle.
The scholarship provides financial support of approximately $4,000 total for one year. Additionally, the successful recipient will be offered the opportunity to complete a 12-week paid internship with Richard Crookes Constructions, providing valuable industry experience in the construction sector.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) (Honours) or Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) in the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment at the University of Newcastle. Applicants must demonstrate academic progress through ATAR for commencing students or a GPA of 4.0 for continuing students, and must establish their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity with the university.
