About this opportunity
The Richard L. and Ellen A. Keiter Undergrad Research Fellowship supports undergraduate chemistry students at Eastern Illinois University in conducting summer research under faculty mentorship. This fellowship is designed to provide financial support for students pursuing independent research projects that show promise of leading to publication. Recipients must be full-time chemistry majors who have completed at least three semesters in the chemistry program and have at least one semester remaining. The fellowship supports intensive summer research experiences, and due to the demanding nature of the project, recipients should not enroll in summer courses during the project timeline. Applicants must have prior research experience with the faculty mentor who will supervise the summer project and demonstrate potential for independent research through previous research reports.
