About this opportunity
The Richard Merewether French Horn Fellowship was established in 2007 to assist outstanding students to undertake studies in French horn at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney. This scholarship is funded by a donation from Mr Edward John Merewether and supports both coursework and research degree students who are enrolled full-time. The fellowship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, portfolio and/or performance, and for postgraduate research applicants, on research achievements and potential. No separate application is required as eligible students will automatically be considered for this scholarship as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and will be specified in the offer letter to successful recipients. This fellowship provides targeted support for French horn students pursuing their musical education at one of Australia's premier music institutions.
