Riddet Institute Summer Scholarship

The Riddet Institute Summer Scholarships support students who wish to undertake supervised research over the summer period. The project will be aligned to an existing research programme in the Riddet Institute, and a project will be set by the supervisor and take into account the student's skill set. The scholarship is designed for students studying food science, food technology, nutrition, or another science subject related to food. The tenure will be for a period of 12 weeks (including a 2-week break over Christmas/New Year) from 23 November 2026 till 12 February 2027, unless otherwise negotiated between the successful applicant and their supervisor. Recipients should be entering their third and/or final year of study or have recently completed the requirements for their degree. Candidates must be willing to be based in the Manawatu over the summer period to undertake their research. Selection is based on academic merit and proven interest in food research.
