Right to Learn Continuing Bursary

The Right to Learn Continuing Bursary is a financial need-based award offered by the Students' Association of Red Deer Polytechnic to support continuing students. This bursary is specifically designed to support equity and inclusion by assisting students who identify as members of Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) communities. The award provides $1,000 CAD to one recipient per year. Eligible students must have attended a credit program at Red Deer Polytechnic in the most recent academic year and must be continuing their studies at the institution in the upcoming academic year. The bursary aims to reduce financial barriers for BIPOC students pursuing their post-secondary education. Applicants are automatically considered for this bursary based on their completed General Application through the Red Deer Polytechnic scholarship platform. The selection criteria focus primarily on demonstrated financial need combined with meeting the eligibility requirements related to enrollment status and BIPOC community membership.
