Rio Tinto Excellence Scholarship - Future Leader

The Rio Tinto Excellence Scholarship - Future Leader is part of the Rio Tinto Excellence Scholarships Scheme, established in 2017 and maintained by an annual gift from Rio Tinto Services Limited. This scholarship provides financial support to current University of Queensland students enrolled in approved programs in computer science, engineering, mathematics, and IT who demonstrate financial hardship. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum for 2 years, with one award available each year. Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time in approved programs including Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with specific majors in Mechatronic Engineering or Software Engineering, Bachelor of Science with majors in Computer Science or Mathematics, or Bachelor of Mathematics programs or their associated dual programs. Selection is based on demonstrated financial hardship, personal and leadership qualities, and potential to succeed in engineering, computer science, and/or science professions. Preference may be given to applicants who participated in Leaders@EAIT program, are past recipients of Rio Tinto Scholarships, or have participated in Rio Tinto Internships.
