RioCan Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award

The RioCan Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award is awarded to a student who identifies as a member of a Visible Minority and/or who is a First Nation, Inuit, or Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) and/or who self identifies as a gender minority and/or who is registered with Accessibility Resources with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree at the Alberta School of Business. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated interest in real estate. In 2020, RioCan launched their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council with a mandate to help create a corporate action plan that reflects these values. RioCan is looking to nurture the next generation of talent that is passionate about both real estate and championing diversity, with this financial support. Students will be automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta system.
