About this opportunity
R.J. Bailot is one of the founders of the Canadian Animal Task Force (formerly the Alberta Spay Neuter Task Force) and is currently the Executive Director of this non-profit. From an early age, R.J. was passionate about animal welfare and the people who live with and love their animals. His heroic work during the southern Alberta floods and the Fort McMurray wildfires saved the lives of countless animals. This award is endowed by Carla Cumming Sojonky and the late Frank Sojonky in honor of the enormous impact R.J. Bailot has made on the lives of countless people and animals.
Available to second-year students enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic achievement. Students must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Preference given to Alberta residents. Students must submit an application to be considered for this award.
