About this opportunity

The RJ Chambers Honours Scholarship supports students enrolled in the fourth year of an honours program in the Discipline of Accounting at the University of Sydney Business School. Established in 2003 by an annual donation equally funded by the Discipline of Accounting and the Accounting Foundation, this scholarship provides financial assistance to students undertaking an Honours Program within the Discipline of Accounting. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and a personal statement that demonstrates the candidate's interest in research and their potential to successfully complete a research project. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in the Accounting Honours Program or a joint Honours Program that includes Honours in Accounting within the University of Sydney Business School. The scholarship is valued at up to $10,000 per annum for one year, with the top two ranked recipients receiving $10,000 and other eligible applicants potentially receiving $5,000, subject to funding availability. Students enrolled in a joint honours program with another discipline are eligible for a half scholarship ($5,000). The annual value is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress to ensure successful on-time completion of their honours program. Scholarship recipients may be invited to promote the program, represent the University at student welcome and marketing events, and fulfill the on-campus functions of a Business School Student Ambassador.
