About This Opportunity

The RMIT Accommodation Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are relocating to Melbourne or Bendigo to study at RMIT University. The scholarship is designed to help cover rental and shared accommodation costs for students moving from interstate or rural/regional areas. It supports students experiencing financial hardship and facing various circumstances that impact their ability to study, including those with disabilities, from under-represented backgrounds, or experiencing personal difficulties. For Semester 1 applicants, the scholarship provides $6,000 for full-time students and $3,000 for part-time students for one year. For Semester 2 applicants, it provides $3,000 for full-time students and $1,500 for part-time students for one semester. The scholarship is paid as a stipend in fortnightly payments rather than a lump sum. Eligible students must be commencing their studies in certificate IV, diploma, undergraduate degree, or postgraduate coursework programs at RMIT and must not have previously completed a program at the same level of study or higher.
