About This Opportunity

The RMIT Equity Travel Grant provides financial support for RMIT students undertaking international mobility activities for credit who can demonstrate circumstances which impact their study. The grant is designed to assist students from disadvantaged or under-represented backgrounds to participate in overseas study experiences including study abroad, exchange programs, global intensives, and international placements or internships. The grant provides up to $3,500 depending on the duration and type of mobility activity. Short-term programs of up to 8 weeks receive $2,000, while long-term semester exchange programs of 8 weeks or more receive $3,500. Eligible students must be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents, or permanent humanitarian visa holders who can demonstrate circumstances such as receiving government benefits, living with a disability, experiencing personal difficulties, being from rural/regional areas, or being from under-represented backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, refugees, or those from non-English speaking backgrounds.
