RMIT Indigenous HDR Scholarships (RIHS)

The RMIT Indigenous HDR Scholarships (RIHS) are funded by the Research Training Program and are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and research potential to Indigenous candidates undertaking a research doctoral degree. These scholarships provide comprehensive financial support including a generous stipend with RMIT top-up, fee offset, relocation allowance, and paid leave provisions. The scholarships are designed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing higher degree research at RMIT University. Recipients must register with the Ngarara Willim Centre, RMIT's dedicated support service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The scholarships support both PhD and Masters by Research programs, with the duration varying based on the degree type.
