RN to BSN Education Advancement Scholarship

The RN to BSN Education Advancement Scholarship is offered by the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) to assist registered nurses employed in schools in advancing their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The scholarship was established in alignment with the 2010 IOM: Future of Nursing recommendation supporting the advancement of nurses, with the goal that 80% of nurses have a baccalaureate degree. The scholarship provides up to $1,500 to help cover expenses for a school nurse pursuing their BSN degree. Applicants must be current NASN members for at least two years, hold a current RN license in their state of employment, and be employed at least 0.6 FTE as a nurse in a school for at least two years. Additionally, applicants must have current acceptance or enrollment in an educational program. The application requires a 500-word essay describing how students and school systems will benefit from the scholarship, along with RN license verification and employment verification documents.
