About this opportunity
The Robert and Mary Macmillan Bursary was established in 1972 by a bequest under the will of the late Robert Edward Leslie Macmillan, a Fitter and Turner of Brisbane. The bursary provides financial assistance to students demonstrating financial hardship who are enrolled in engineering programs at The University of Queensland. The award provides one half of the annual income from the endowment and is available for up to 2 years. The bursary supports undergraduate and honours students who have completed between 28-44 units towards their approved engineering program and are not less than 23 years old. Preference is given to candidates who have engineering trade qualifications, honoring the legacy of its founder who was a skilled tradesperson.
