Robert and Shirley Karraker Scholarship

The Robert and Shirley Karraker Scholarship is awarded to full-time freshmen majoring in Chemistry at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate exceptional promise for distinction in the field. The scholarship is renewable annually for up to four years, provided the recipient remains a full-time Chemistry major and maintains a minimum GPA of 3.00. Financial need is not a consideration for this award. The scholarship is announced in the Spring Semester and paid in the Fall Semester. Applicants must submit an essay describing their promise to distinction in Chemistry, and first-time applicants must provide a recommendation letter from their high school chemistry teacher.
