About this opportunity
The Roderick MacDuff Scholarship supports undergraduate students studying political economy at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney who are experiencing disadvantage. The scholarship was generously established from a donation by Dr Roderick O'Donnell to support equity scholarships in Political Economy. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, evidence of financial hardship, and a personal statement demonstrating individual or family disadvantage and how the scholarship will assist with studies. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree, completing an undergraduate major in Political Economy, and have completed or be enrolled in ECOP1001 and enrolled in ECOP1003. To maintain eligibility, recipients must maintain a weighted average mark (WAM) of at least 65 each semester and enroll in at least one 2000-level Political Economy unit post census date in the year following scholarship award.

Selection committee consisting of the Chair of Political Economy and at least two academic staff from the discipline of Political Economy. Awards based on academic merit, financial hardship evidence, and personal statement. Preference given to ECOP1001 marks when ranking applicants.
