Roderick Stirling MacDonald Scholarships

The Roderick Stirling MacDonald Scholarships are granted to 10 graduate and 20 undergraduate students who are registered in full-time studies at UPEI, maintained an academic record of 85% or greater in every course in their previous year of study, and show interest in developing skills to enhance local and global communities. In December 2017, UPEI received a $1,000,000 gift from the Estate of H. Ruth MacDonald. She remembered UPEI through a planned gift in her Will in memory of her husband Roderick. The significant contribution she provided will create many scholarships and impact numerous students, assisting in imparting them with skills that will enhance our local and global communities. Including an additional gift received in the summer of 2019, over $1,200,000 will support academically gifted undergraduate and graduate students at UPEI.
