Roland Bonvalet Memorial Scholarship

The Roland Bonvalet Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student with superior academic standing enrolled in any year of a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated excellence in senior-level French coursework. The scholarship was established through endowed funds by Dr. N. Mallet in memory of her late husband Dr. Roland Bonvalet, a former member of the Department of Romance Languages, along with contributions from friends. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students wanting to attend a spring, summer, or year-long program of language study in a French-speaking environment. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the university's scholarship portal.
