Rolf Sörmans fond (M2)

The Rolf Sörman Foundation awards scholarships to students at the Department of Shipping and Marine Technology at Chalmers University of Technology, primarily within the Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering master's program. The fund is dedicated to promoting education within the naval architecture division and supporting thesis work and studies conducted at SSPA Sweden AB. The scholarships cover costs for investigations, experiments, and trials performed as thesis or study projects at SSPA's testing facilities, including towing tank, wave and maneuvering laboratory, and cavitation laboratory. SSPA Sweden AB is 100% owned by the Chalmers Foundation and specializes in advanced marine technology with testing facilities located on the Chalmers campus. If no eligible applicants exist within the primary target group, the fund also supports other thesis work at the Department of Shipping and Marine Technology, and potentially students from other Chalmers departments conducting thesis work at SSPA.
