About This Opportunity

The Rolton Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship program designed to support women pursuing engineering studies at Northumbria University. The scholarship awards two female students £4,000 each, paid in instalments throughout the first three years of their degree program. The scholarship is specifically aimed at women from underrepresented backgrounds, including those from neighborhoods with low progression rates to higher education, from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, or those who have declared a physical and/or mental health condition, long-term illness, or learning difference. Recipients are selected by Rolton based on a competitive written application process. The scholarship is available for students enrolling in September 2026 in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering programs at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus.
