Ron and Carol Jean (McHenry) Martin Communication and Theatre Scholarship

The Ron and Carol Jean (McHenry) Martin Communication and Theatre Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity for full-time students majoring in English Language Arts or Theatre Arts within the teacher certification program at Eastern Illinois University. This scholarship aims to support students who are interested in pursuing a teaching career in Speech or Theatre. Preference is given to students graduating from Paris, Paxton Buckley Loda, or Joliet Township High School, though students from contiguous counties may also be considered. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate progress toward teacher certification. Financial need is also a consideration in the selection process. Applicants are required to submit a 1-2 page narrative describing their interest in pursuing a teaching career in English Language Arts, Theatre Arts, or a combination of both disciplines.
