Ron & Donna Woodward Athletic Leadership Award

The Ron & Donna Woodward Athletic Leadership Award is a nominated scholarship offered by Red Deer Polytechnic to recognize student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities. Recipients must be members of a Red Deer Polytechnic Athletic Team and meet ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference) and CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association) eligibility requirements. The award recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership in their community, high school, or within Red Deer Polytechnic. The student-athlete must be determined by their coach to be an asset to the team. This is a nominated award, meaning students do not apply directly; rather, recipients are selected and notified by the Red Deer Polytechnic Athletics Department throughout the year. Two awards of $1,000 each are available annually. The scholarship is funded by the Ron & Donna Woodward Leadership Endowment and supports student-athletes who exemplify leadership both on and off the field of play.
