About This Opportunity

The Ron Kachman Memorial Award honors Ron Kachman, a dedicated educator who spent 41 years at NAIT and retired as the Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronics Technologies. Ron was a problem solver and inventor, visionary and mediator, advocate and friend, remembered as an educator who cared deeply about the success of his students and advocated for their access to education. This award was established in Ron's memory by a former student (Bob Found EET 81', IET 86') in consultation with Ron's family. This $1,000 award is available to students entering the Electronics Engineering Technology program at NAIT. The award is granted on the basis of financial need and satisfactory academic achievement, with preference given to Black, Indigenous or Persons of Colour (BIPOC).
