Ron Kachman Memorial Entrance Bursary II

The Ron Kachman Memorial Entrance Bursary II honors Ron Kachman, a dedicated educator who spent 41 years at NAIT and retired as the Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronics Technologies. Ron was remembered as a problem solver, inventor, visionary, and mediator who cared deeply about the success of his students and advocated for their access to education. This award was established in Ron's memory by a former student (Bob Found EET 81', IET 86') in consultation with Ron's family. This bursary is available to students entering Electronics Engineering Technology at NAIT. Awards are made on the basis of financial need and satisfactory academic achievement, with preference given to Black, Indigenous or Persons of Colour (BIPOC). The bursary provides $1,000 to support students pursuing their education in this field. Students must submit an application to be considered for this award. The application deadline is March 2, 2026.
