About this opportunity
This research grant has been established in memory of Rosemary Barrington by her family. Rosemary Barrington's association with Victoria University of Wellington spanned nearly five decades. As a student, she was instrumental in forming the first creche at the University. She later served as Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington from the early 2000s. Throughout her life, Rosemary brought tireless dedication to social justice and women's equality. This research grant has been set up to advance the cause of social justice in New Zealand and to allow funding for research that may otherwise not be possible. The grant is available to current students undertaking Honours, Masters or PhD in any disciplines at Victoria University of Wellington. Recipients must clearly demonstrate how their proposed research will advance the cause of social justice in New Zealand.
