About this opportunity
The Ross-Leonard Scholarship provides financial support for undergraduate students at UW-Milwaukee who demonstrate a commitment to promoting and securing equal rights for members of the LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, or asexual) community. Eligible students must show demonstrated commitment through advocacy, volunteerism, or other community service to securing equal rights for members of the LGBTQIA community in activities inside or outside the UWM campus. Alternatively, students may demonstrate interest in pursuing a field of academic study promoting the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the LGBTQIA community, including but not limited to the LGBT Certificate program.
Applicants must be in sophomore, junior, or senior standing and demonstrate both academic merit and financial need as determined by the FAFSA. This scholarship is part of the UWM Foundation Scholarships program and supports students across the university who are committed to LGBTQIA advocacy and education.
