About this opportunity
The Ross Waite Parsons Postgraduate Coursework Law Scholarship has been established to promote academic excellence in legal education through the master's programs offered by the University of Sydney Law School. Named after Ross Waite Parsons, who was Professor of Law at the University of Sydney from 1961-1986 and established the Australian paradigms for postgraduate coursework legal education and continuing professional development, this scholarship recognizes high academic achievers pursuing master's by coursework programs in law. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 and is awarded based on academic merit and a personal statement demonstrating commitment to applying learning from the master's program to make a positive difference to professional and/or legal practice. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 to continue receiving the scholarship.

Review process
The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and a personal statement. Selection is made by a committee chaired by the Associate Dean, Postgraduate Coursework in the Sydney Law School and at least one other staff member.
