About this opportunity
The Rotary Club of Downtown Macon Scholarship Fund provides college scholarships to graduating seniors from Bibb County, Georgia. Established in 2016 as an endowment at the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, this scholarship assists eligible first-generation students with the cost of attending college, university, or accredited technical college in Georgia. The scholarship is offered by the Rotary Club of Downtown Macon, a civic organization of over 120 members committed to 'service above self.' The fund awards $3,000 per year to selected recipients, with eight total awards available annually (two new recipients selected each year). Prior recipients can renew the award for up to four years of their education career, provided they maintain eligibility criteria and complete required follow-ups. Preference is given to first-generation college students with demonstrated financial need and a positive record in academics, community service, or service to others.
