About This Opportunity

The Rowe Scientific Chemistry Scholarship is valued at $6,000 and provides financial support to high-achieving third-year undergraduate students majoring in Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Sydney. Established in 2016, this scholarship has been generously donated by Rowe Scientific Foundation to help students achieve their educational aspirations in Chemistry. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, determined by the average mark across 4 completed chemistry units from specified first and second year CHEM courses. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in their third year (having completed 96 credit points) and must be enrolled in 2 or more specified third-year CHEM units as part of either a Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry major. No application is required for this scholarship. Successful recipients will be automatically identified and notified by email before the relevant census date. The scholarship value of $6,000 is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester and is tenable for one year only. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester and remain enrolled full-time in their chemistry major. Recipients may be asked to provide a photo and brief report detailing their chemistry interests to the donor.
