About this opportunity
The Roy and Mae Smith Scholarship provides a one-year scholarship of up to $5,000 total to a graduate of Charleston High School in Charleston, Arkansas pursuing a college degree, community college degree, or trade school certification. Scholarship monies may be used for tuition, fees and books and will be paid directly to the awardee's school. Ideal candidates are those who demonstrate average achievement, hard work, self-sufficiency, and financial need. Selection criteria include scholastic achievement, school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential and financial need. Preference is given to students attending public schools and universities.
