About this opportunity
The Roy Fenton Scholarship provides support to talented students who have the academic potential to study at York, and who have overcome significant barriers to their educational goals. Named after Roy Fenton, who was in 1968 one of the first set of graduates from the new Department of Chemistry at York, this scholarship supports the Department's key commitment to providing the best possible educational experiences for students from a diverse range of backgrounds. The award provides £2,000 per year over three years of undergraduate study, totaling £6,000. The scholarship is open to UK (home) students starting an undergraduate degree in Chemistry in September of each year with a residual household income under £42,875. Each award is paid in instalments for three years and is subject to satisfactory academic progress.
