Roy K. Wilson Journalism Scholarship

The Roy K. Wilson Journalism Scholarship is awarded to full-time students majoring in journalism at Eastern Illinois University. Recipients must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to applicants interested in pursuing a career in public relations. The scholarship requires submission of a one-page written statement demonstrating career goals and reflecting the recipient's personal philosophy towards ethics in journalism. The award is announced in the Spring and disbursed in the Fall and Spring semesters. Recipients may reapply for the award in subsequent years provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
