About This Opportunity
The Roy & Margaret Crosby Memorial Award is presented to a deserving third- or second-year student in Veterinary Medicine who attended a Prince Edward Island high school and who demonstrates interest in equine or canine veterinary medicine. Roy and Margaret Crosby were residents of Meadowbank, Prince Edward Island, who showed much kindness to the farm animals under their care, but had a particular fondness for horses and dogs. This award was established in their memory by the executors of their estates in accordance with their wishes. The Crosbys were ordinary unpretentious folk who established this award not from accumulated wealth, but from their belief in the value of education and the conviction that the care of domestic animals is a high calling worthy of their encouragement.
