About this opportunity
Birkbeck is delighted to receive grant aid from the Royal Female School of Art Foundation to help support students who are suffering short-term financial hardship. Successful applicants will be awarded a sum to assist with costs such as tuition fees, the purchase of books, travel and childcare. Applications will be considered on the basis of need, prioritising cases where a student would be unable to start or forced to leave the programme without this financial support. The bursary is available to current students enrolled on specific Art History programs at Birkbeck, University of London, including the Accelerated 3 year BA Art History, Part-time 4 year BA Art History, and Certificate of Higher Education/Graduate Certificate/Graduate Diploma in Art History. Despite the historical name, these bursaries are open to students of any gender. The sum awarded varies according to the intensity of study, with a maximum of £750 for Certificate and Graduate Certificate students, £1,125 for 4-year BA students, and £1,500 for accelerated 3-year BA students.
