About This Opportunity

The Royal Holloway GREAT Scholarships provide a tuition fee reduction of £10,000 for postgraduate students from Ghana, Nigeria, and Mexico. Three scholarships are available for new full-time postgraduate students studying any taught Masters subject at Royal Holloway, University of London. There is one scholarship designated for a student from each country: Ghana, Nigeria, and Mexico. These scholarships are offered in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign. The GREAT Scholarships programme supports postgraduate students in accessing world-class UK higher education opportunities, offering a tuition fee reduction to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study. Recipients must be passport holders and residents of one of the eligible countries, hold an offer to study any full-time Masters subject at Royal Holloway, have completed an undergraduate degree, meet English language requirements, and demonstrate motivation in their proposed subject area. Scholars are expected to engage with the UK academic community, attend a networking event with other GREAT scholars, and act as ambassadors for the programme by sharing their experiences with future scholars. The scholarship cannot be held in combination with any other Royal Holloway scholarship. Applicants must submit a supporting statement of no more than 400 words outlining their academic achievements, reasons for choosing their degree, and future aspirations.
