Royal Scholarship

About This Opportunity

The Royal Scholarship was established through generous donations from Alumni and friends during the University of St Andrews' 600th Anniversary Celebrations. This scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. The award provides £4,400 per year paid as maintenance, which can be used towards University accommodation fees. Maintenance is paid in ten monthly instalments directly to the student's bank account from September to May, with a double payment in February. Selection is based on financial need and donor-specific criteria. The scholarship is paid annually for the duration of the student's undergraduate programme and is available to students from Scotland and the rest of the UK studying across various academic disciplines at St Andrews.
