Ruth Carman Scholarship

The Ruth Carman Scholarship supports Eastern Illinois University students majoring in World Languages and Cultures. This scholarship is designed to recognize academic excellence and leadership in promoting the study of World Languages and Cultures. Recipients must be Junior or Senior students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 and a major GPA of at least 3.7. The scholarship requires completion of 2 upper-division courses after the close of the term in which the scholarship is awarded, and recipients must have at least one semester of study remaining after the award is made. Leadership in promoting World Languages and Cultures is a key criterion. This award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the Fall semester.
