About this opportunity
The Ruth Renner Scholarship in Human Nutrition is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science degree program at the University of Alberta. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic achievement, with preference given to students with indicated financial need. This scholarship is renewable for a maximum of three times, contingent upon maintaining superior academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a minimum of 24 credits over the most recent September to April period in the Nutrition and Food Science program. The scholarship was established through endowed funds by Ruth Renner, a 1948 Agriculture graduate and former Professor of Human Nutrition at the University of Alberta, with the goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sound human nutrition.
