Rutherford Scholar Award

The Rutherford Scholar Award is a prestigious scholarship funded through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund. It recognizes the top ten students in Alberta based on their performance on the first writing of Diploma Examinations in qualifying subjects. Recipients receive $2,500 and are automatically selected from applications for the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship. The award requires students to achieve top scores across a combination of required and elective diploma examination subjects, including English Language Arts or Français, Social Studies, and three other qualifying subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Science. No separate application is required for this award.
