About this opportunity
The Rutherford Science High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarship was established in 2025 and is funded by Gareth James, an alumnus of the University of Auckland, to honour the memory of his grandfather, Eric Clark OBE, who was the founding principal of Rutherford High School (now Rutherford College). The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support students in the Faculty of Science at the University of Auckland. This scholarship is specifically designed for students enrolled in the second year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Science who previously applied for a Top Achiever Scholarship. The award provides financial assistance with study costs for up to two years. One scholarship is offered annually with a value of up to $5,000 per annum. The scholarship recognizes high achievement and supports continued excellence in science education at the undergraduate level.
