The RWE Butterwick Moor Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund supports local community groups, voluntary organisations and environmental projects in and around Sedgefield, County Durham. The fund specifically serves communities within a 3-mile radius of the Butterwick Moor Wind Farm, including the villages of Fishburn, Thorpe, Larches, Trimdon, Trimdon Station, Sedgefield, and Winterton.
This fund provides grants of up to £5,000 for projects that improve public amenities such as community halls and sports facilities, environmental and wildlife projects including improvements to open spaces, activities to engage the local community, and energy efficiency or renewable energy projects.
